It's incredible to witness how a TREK became worthless because the uselss Chinese Benielli Mob can not supply Spares for a , at the time , 11 year old bike now 13 .

I will spend my free time posting about the useless company Benelli is and the Chinese Muppets running it .

My advice to anyone here is , like me , set the bike on fire and post it on social media .

If Benelli gets another cent fro me in my life I will be damned .

No starter for this bike and 5 sitting in the garage just here in limassol Cyprus .

What a rubbish company and their crap chopstick bikes they can stick where the sun doesn't shine. .

Hang on… just having a quick look for that dummy that flew out of his pram!

🤣🍻🤘🏻

There have been worse manufacturers by far and at least QJ left them in Pesaro after investing in a new factory… now Hardley, there is a manufacturer that would never get a penny from me, they haven’t changed their line up since building began about a century ago!

Every motorcycle has its flaws, but to say that Benelli is the worst is so ridiculous that it's stupid to even comment. A company with a century of tradition and original engineering solutions, can hardly be the worst, it's even harder to blame Benelli for the starter motor that for that same company is produced by the Japanese Denso.
I drive Benelli and I love every mile with mine. It is the bike with a soul that does not fade.
When BMW 1000RR drops connecting rods out of crank case it is OK, it is nothing.
When Yamaha R6 spit piston rings and parts of the pistons true the exhaust, it is OK, it is nothing.
When Kawasaki 636 RR made a hole in the engine block from the blown parts of the connecting rods and crankshaft, it is OK, it is nothing.
When R1 Big Bang breaks the crankshaft in half, or eats the drive gear of the clutch, in some cases it breaks the balance shaft, it is OK, it is nothing.
BUT WHEN on a Benelli, by some chance, a starter motor crashes , which it does not produced by Benelli, then it is the most serious failure on the planet...............

P.S.
By the way, that starter motor fits from several other motorcycles, and can be bought in at least 15 places on the EU, In my work shop ,there are 4 in stock brand new.

Hi, it's going OK now, I fitted a new stepper motor, balanced the throttle bodies best I could. I found mine likes to have the exhaust valve connected. I do a 100 mile round trip most Sundays to have a coffee and cake by the seaside.

It's an Italian-made Benelli. Won't it set itself on fire? :D
You bought an exotic low-production-run bike from a beleaguered Italian company and you wonder why you're having parts availability problems 11 years later? Why would the current benelli ownership make parts for a bike they had no part in building in the first place? Yeah it would be nice if they did, but I'd honestly be surprised if they didn't just give up after the last of the old stock was sold.

Also, it's a STARTER. Take it apart, clean it, resurface the commentator, replace the brushes, lube the bushings, and you're back on the road.

Charles.
