Im thinking of either an MV Augusta (F4 1000) vs a Benelli 1130 Tornado TRE .....

What are the pros and cons of each bike...how do they compare....

Im wanting feed back from you guys to help me decide...

I already have a Benelli Tornado TRE LE....but Im planning on not riding it ....but keeping it as a collector item (along with a small number of other rare exotics)...

So Im talking now of a bike to ride not just as a collector item...

please help me out here...

MV 1000 or Benelli 1130 TRE???...

thanks for the help

If you have the cash to do this then I suggest you get both:b

Yes, I know that is always an option...But, Im limited in space, and Im trying to cut down on the number of bikes I have (Im currently selling off most of my off road collection)...

So...If I were only buying one of the above...which one???

choice to make

in the 2006 Master Bike test MV Agusta scored the fastest lap and proved to be a treat for almost everyone there. However nobody was appreciating the challenging position on the bike.

Benelli would be a good bike if the support would visible in any way. By the way, it could have been part of test, Ducati was there, the Mille R Factory actually won this year.

I also have an LE that promises to be part of the living room for long time. The dry clutch needs some bits and nobody is able to tell me what they cost and when it will be available.

Already having an LE, I would go Agusta. However the looks of the Tornado is way ahead any other bike- of course according to my very personal taste, and the sound of the Tornado will always overrun F4.

Re: choice to make

If you're going to sit on it for more than an hour or so, your but will wish you had bought the Tornado.

1000 or 1130?

I think it depends what type of riding you'll be doing. The MV I think is a more hard-edged sport bike, the Benelli 1130 is an unbelievable grunty road engine. For 'average' road riders in the real world the 1130 I think would be better, more usable power if you ever take a pillion too.

So I think.....track use - MV1000, sport street use - Tornado 1130 :D

MV or Benelli?

No need for a poll here in my view.....

The MV would win it hands down in my view, just don't slate me for saying it please!

Sure the Tornado is one of the nicest bikes out there, but that is just it, ONE of the nicest bikes out there.

The MV 'IS' the nicest bike out there!

Re: MV or Benelli?

Yeah, As much as I like my Benelli, those MV's are good looking bikes.

I went to the Milan Bike show last year and the MV stand was something else. :eek

Re: MV or Benelli?

To me those are two of the most beautiful bikes in the world. The only other one that I am dreaming off now is the Mondial Piega EVO. Too bad it never made it.

Re: MV or Benelli?

Are you sure we were not seperated at birth Roland:eek Your taste in bike seems almost identical to mine:eek
Should I ever scoop the lottery then it would have been the Tornado, MV and the Mondial for me:b
You hear about these born again bikers who just go about on machines that are beyond their capabilities (I fit into that bracket) but I really don't give a monkey's hoot about what other folk think. If I can afford it then I'll buy it. And if it makes me feel good in the meantime then that's a bonus (and a thrill):b

Let me edit that one more time .......

Well, it seem that we would have been at least triplets :rollin :lol

I was so close to buy a Piega, yet a "regular " one, that I am still congratulating me for not doing it. :lol

Re: MV or Benelli?

You could try shoving them behind my missus's ears for extra effect
Al..naughty!

But I'm going to make it a bit worse.. I saw an upside down tattoo on the back of a gal's neck one time that said "let go my ears, I know what I'm doing!" Took me while to figure that one out!

Re: MV or Benelli?

I love my Tornado RS but if i was being really honest i'd say the MV.
When i bought the RS it was btwn it, an 06 Rsvr and the MV-my thinking kinda went-MV offered a red/silver new for £10,000 but was in love with the blue/silver version & couldn't justify £14250-Rsvr in white mmm but i've had 3 Aprilias & wanted a change-Benelli RS looks good, got quality fittings and the price! SOLD!!
End of the day it's really such a personal choice i think you've got to see them all in the flesh and then go home without commiting to one-by the next day you'll know which one your going to get.
