Hello,

I am just about at point this week to buy a new TNT. I currently ride a V-Raptor so am used to the foibles (and delights) of Italian bikes.. What I'd really like is some help understanding the model designation (there seem to be so many) and what I should realistically be paying. I am only a few miles away from KJM so I suppose they are the obvious option.

Any help would be really appreciated. I will be taking the bike around the Nurburgring in a couple of weeks time as I did with the Raptor last year.

Are there any 'must haves' that I'd need to do straight away?

Thanks
Steve

Hi Steve, you wont be dissapointed, price wise i think all the dealers are selling new bikes for the same price (8700) and as kjm are the main importer and are just round the corner then use them, a lot of the contributors on this site have had some sort of dealings with them and they seem to be pretty clued up, they,ve serviced my tnt and did a good job at a reasonable cost. As for model designation it depends what you want and how much money you,ve got, mines the base tnt and its got plenty oftrick bits on it as standardand there are a few places doing after market bits now.As for must do,s i dont think there is anything that needs doing straight away but there are jobs that can be done to improve the bike over time, make sure the bike has the rad fan upgrade(fans on the outside). Other than that i dont think there is any other bike to compare to it at the moment.:hat

Re: Buying a TNT - Help! (But bought a Tornado!!!)

Ok.. its done..

Went to KJM today... and bought a Red Tornado RS!!!... it just fitted me so much better.. and Im gonna keep the V-Raptor for now so a sportsbike seemed the better option...

Picking it up next wednesday... even managed to pick out a number plate with my initials on it!...

Any suggestions with setup would be most appreciated.. tyre pressures - suspension settings etc.. I'm 12.5 stone, fast road riding only...

Cheers
Steve

Re: help me

Yeah can probably help on that one. I am guessing your english is good. Give me a private email with the parts you need etc and I've got someone who'll get it at a good price, can arrange shipping and explain how to fit it (if your mechanically minded)
