Its quite simple really.

Rotate chain to tight spot.

Loosen the four allen key bolts on the ends of the swingarm.

Put a socket allen key into axle and adjust to freeplay spec.

Both sides turn at once keeping the wheel alinement constant.

Tighten up the four allen key bolts on the ends of the swingarm.

Done.

what torque are the four bolts on the swing arm after adjusting the chain?

found it in the tnt workshop manual under the heading of rear wheel removal page 255
For such a small bolt it seems quite a high torque value at 80N.m , any idea if this is correct

looking through old posts it seems that others also think this torque is too high. I think i'll just use common sense as i can see stripped threads or a cracked swing arm using the torque values listed in the manual.

courtesy of distracted rider from his manual

22 Nm on all (4) with medium strength threadlocker applied.
