Just to let you know - I ordered some parts from this company two months ago - The small stickers and rubber mounting kit for my tail fin and it has still not arrived - I need the stickers for the spraying to be completed so as you can imagine - I'm not impressed and as they have ignored my last email - I have started a resolution via Paypal to get my money back - City Moto have what looks like a comprehensive website for all spares but I'm obviously not convinced - I'll keep you posted as to what happens but in the meantime I wont be using them again.

Update

Having sent them an email via Paypal - I have been refunded - its a shame that its had to come to this but after waiting two months, they replied with a picture of the rubber mounting kit and one sticker stating that they were waiting for the second sticker - if they had bothered to tell me this and keep me updated we could probably have still done business - I don't understand how people think that this is good business practice

Doh

Funny reading your post.
I ordered some parts two weeks ago, but once the initial email had been acknowledged, I heard no more. Then out of the blue the parts arrived ( Monday ) only problem was I had ordered and paid for two gaskets but only one arrived.
since Monday I had sent four Emails with no reply, I then sent an email today at 3.30pm asking for a refund and saying how disappointed I was with their lack of communications.
Low and Behold I had an answer at 4pm saying the missing part was being posted today.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

I have used these people before at least 4 times, and it appears that this is there way of working. I must add that I have always received the parts, but there communications are pretty lax to say the least.
Plus they are cheaper than both Bennets & Maniac motors, Bennets quoted me £150 plus for a TNT speed sensor I got it from city-moto for 138 euro`s.

But they will have to pull there finger out on the communication front.

See what happens

I've written back to City Moto and said that if they can physically put the order together ready to ship - I'll buy the stuff from them - see what happens

Ditto experiences with these folks

Couple of years on from last post in this thread...... ordered some parts from CitiMoto (L radiator fairing, L turn signal, stickers, fairing mount bushings, ≈US$250 with shipping), going back to January this year (2019). Exchanged a dozen emails with them, last attempts twice during May, to confirm order... and as yet no response. Owner's daughter (Thalissa) runs biz if Dad's away so apparently a small family operation with a decent web storefront. She said there's a long lead time on many parts.

I'll try again one more time, and concur with ajf. I do suspect working with Benelli is a big hassle. When there were still Benelli dealers here in US (Escondido CA–Moto Forza was remarkably only 5 miles away), the folks there clearly dreaded it when asked to order parts. Their listless demeanor in attempting to do so was generally well-founded.

Apart from price, are Bennets & Maniac motors otherwise on-the-ball re getting stuff and communicating?

We visited this shop in July this year. Gert the guy who runs it is a total enthusiast, for all things Benelli and MV.
I think the issues are his parts catalogue just shows what’s in stock at the factory, not what he’s actually got in the shop.
As Benelli dealers specialising in the older stuff are getting thin on the ground, he’s getting more trade and having difficulty keeping up. Always try ringing him, he speaks good English and I’ve always found him helpful. I should point out I had to wait 6 weeks for a z25 kit earlier in the year.

.......just a bit of perspective

Fred

CitiMoto...

Good to hear re Bennets and Maniac, that is appreciated, I will defs use those follks in future but not giving up on CitiMoto yet—Just a week ago revived & re-submitted the order for the still-needed parts, and PayPal'd funds, albeit after website crashed during PayPal stage, but they did get the order OK and emailed me the PayPal invoice a couple of days later.

So, we'll see what happens. As previously, I concur with others, there is no nefarious intent, just a small family biz somewhat swamped.

Just got a '78 CB750 F3 Supersport (maybe not the "best" version, but rarest and last of the SOHCs) but even with a huge worldwide enthusiast base, I'm now enjoying different shenanigens with NLA parts and exorbitant prices on NOS.

More self-inflicted wounds, but... we love what we love.

I ordered parts from Citimoto 4 months ago, sent several e-mails and call 100 times ( no kidding) without response. I did speak to Gert-Jan when ordering and once about a month thereafter but nothing since then. Its extremely frustrating as Im unable to ride the bike without these few items. Unfortunately, I paid with a credit card too albiet only 260 euro but none the less i guess money is gone.

Gert-Jan is a thief. I ordered parts way back. Many phone calls and emails. He just stopped responding pretty much after payment was made. I was suckered by the 'waiting for parts from the factory' line. Don't believe him.

Use the EU small claims forms and file against him. I have my paperwork filled out and just need to mail it out.

I Ordered Benelli brake parts from this place on August 12, 2020. I waited and waited for parts until he (Gert) finally agreed to send a partial delivery to me because he didn't have all the parts in stock. I never received another delivery. The price for the parts I never saw was 448,50 EUR. I was stupid and used a bank transfer. He won't answer emails, won't pay me back (despite many requests). I am very disappointed with this store, no respect for the customer. Finally I bought the missing parts from Germany (Maniac Motors), where I received excellent service.
