Is it possible to copy the ECU map from a 600GT to a 600i? Both bikes have the same engine specifications, but the specifications for both bikes are different???

600i

  • Engine type Liquid cooled 4-stroke 4-valve DOHC Inline 4
  • Capacity 600 cc
  • Bore x Stroke 65 mm x 45.2 mm
  • Power 60 kW (82 hp) @ 11,500 rpm
  • Torque 52 Nm @ 10,500 rpm
  • Compression ratio 11.5:1

600GT

  • Engine type Liquid cooled 4-stroke 4-valve DOHC Inline 4
  • Capacity 600 cc
  • Bore x Stroke 65 mm x 45.2 mm
  • Power 60 kW (82 hp) @ 11,000 rpm
  • Torque 55 Nm @ 8,000 rpm!!
  • Compression ratio 11.5:1

The GT has a slightly higher torque at a lower engine speed and also has its maximum power at a slightly lower engine speed.
It would be great if we could get that torque lower down in the rev range.

Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

It's unlikely that such difference are purely down to mapping. I suspect the GT will use different cam timing, longer inlet trumpets, different length exhaust primaries etc.
