The clock illumination on my Tornado has gone so dim that unless I'm under street lights I can't see what speed I'm doing. Yet occasionally they have been known to burst into their former brilliance momentarily before becoming dim again. Is this a common problem, and can anyone offer any suggestions on how to rectify it?

Sounds like you have an intermittent fault with the light feed to the clocks. It may be worth checking the multi-pin connector that goes into the back of the clocks in case it has worked it's way loose.

Also, disconnecting it and re-connecting it a few times may help if you have maybe developed a 'dry' connection on one of the pins. If this doesn't cure it, then the fault may be inside the clocks which can be a bit of a problem as there are no replaceable bulbs.

The lighting comes from a couple of LED's that are soldered onto the circuit board. (see 2nd pic)
