I used to have a 600RR that I adjsuted the gearing on. It caused my speedometer to be worthless because it read the speed off the front sprocket.

Does anyone know where the Benelli speedo reads its speed? Hopefully at the wheel or rear sprocket.

Erm, havn't checked mine to be honest but best I can remember it runs off the back wheel. Check the rear sprocket and back brake. On one of the sides is a little round black sensor with a wire that comes off it. Thats your speedo.

Re: Do sprocket changes mess up the Speedometer? NO

Dean's right, the pickup senses the passing of the rear disc bolts. The only thing that affects the accuracy is the tyre diameter.
Mine reads 10% high - 110 is only 100.
