My termi still hasn't arrived...But will soon!
I was having a look at the mountings under the pillion seat the other day, and it looks as if the whole rear sub-frame needs to be lifted/removed in order to get to the two hex bolts that secure the exhaust to the bike, as i found it impossible to get a hex key in the small narrow gap between the frame and the nut head.
Am i just missing something or is this the only way??

The standard exhaust is held onto the subframe via 4 screws....... 2 of them fitted directly to the muffler which are holding on 2 aluminium rubber mounted hanger brackets that are egg shaped, there about 40mm long. these are then bolted to the subframe with 2 screws just under the pillion seat, you need an 8mm socket with a short extension to release these screws first once the muffler has dropped you can reach the other screws that are on the muffler itself.
