Good morning all,
Is there any way of telling if the warranty recalls have been done to my bike?
I've been onto Bennet's and they have no record of my bike, and I've also been onto three cross (whatever they are now) and they have no record of my bike either.

Warranty recalls would imply factory ‘negligence’. Dealer mods/remedies is a closer description. MotoGB have fairly complete records although some bikes escape it like mine. Mine came in via 3X/Red Dog and had been serviced at the former and KJM also. Just compile a provenance based on history knowledge and invoices. David @ 3X would check Z25 as a matter of course ditto Glen @ KJM who would put a single punch in the diamond on the cam chain adjuster body. MotoGB also employ a similar marking method. Clutch gaskets are pricey so most re-use. They’re 20 years old now so pretty good chance that work has been done. Ring around to start your plot. Also check Errol’s spreadsheet. Do you have a punched circle on your VIN sticker? Expand your MOT testing station base with your V5 long no. to help build a picture and mileage tally.

I have tried previous owners and non can be found.
This bike has spent much of its life in a living room.

I cannot see any punched circle and unfortunately I don't know the location of the diamond on the cam chain adjuster body.
I have spoken to Moto GB who confirm the bike was originally from them. But the have no history of the bike.

VIN sticker punch on RHS headstock and MotoGB/KJM clutch/Z25 camchain adjuster body punch visible through top slat on RHS fairing.

Your other option is to pop the clutch cover to inspect the gear as per Errol’s guidance.

Original alt drive shaft had 2 holes and the Z25 had a cast face. The sub-ass was non-concentric and too big when hot. The remedy was loosing a hole plus the gear machined on the shaft to ensure roundness/smaller. There are other things to check incl the Belville but the Z25 upgrade is a great start point. Errol’s bible is a must.

Thank you for the quick reply, unfortunately no pop mark on my frame plate.
I still don't know the location of the second mark, Im not sure where the top slat of the fairing is?
I cannot see anything that looks like your picture.
If you could take a picture further away from the bike I will be able to see the area you are looking at.
Thanks for your help.

The most easy way is to check your chassis VIN number in the outhorised Benelli service.Every bike have an electronic service book.If your bike has some recals in the past, and that job was done by outhorised service, the info is in the electronic service book.I personaly write my first recal job in the factory database on the year 2007.

Ah well... Erm... Could you help us with info on how to find this electronic service book? Is it at the Benelli dealer?

Why not just get it checked out by Bennett’s and let them tell you if the mods have been done and if all is OK that way you can either sell it on for sale premium over the fact it’s unknown or you can keep it and use it in the knowledge it’s been done 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Yeah, cheers for the input, but do you really have to come off so cock sure? Not everyone in here knows everything and some of us are obviously new to the whole Benelli scene… but there again your signature does say a lot about you I suppose!

🙄

p.s. Bennets don’t know everything, especially work that was done out of warranty and/or privately at an independent workshop or even by the owners!

Lighten up man it’s a joke abit like your user name ????? You wouldn’t have taken well to this forum years ago.

I don’t mean to be cock sure at all b and if that’s how it came across sorry. I’m just pointing out that rather than just giving up on it you could have the specialist look at it and check to se if the upgrades have been done for you. They may not know everything about that bike but they are specialist in these bikes and know what to look for and how they should be put together that’s all.

Just trying to help

Ok fella, I will take it on spec… I don’t have the ability to tell if people are joking by what is written on every occasion, so my bad too!
Rewind to yesterday and start again… I have been trying to find out exactly what the OP asked, but it can be a slightly frustrating minefield of enquiries.
So… I actually did what you suggested, and Bennets couldn’t help, but… they could tell me that mine was sold to and imported by a private person in Kent.
I have the original Z25 and shaft in a bag of bits, so at least I can safely assume that was done.
I just hope the OP has some luck too!
All the best and ride safe… there are far too many selfish box pilots out there!

Didn’t know that. A link would be nice. Please post on here. Thank you.
It is a factory database, only for the authorised service-workshop like my self,The Bennets,Maniac motors.....authorised Benelli delears.......
This is the only way to check your electronic service book.
In the TnT picture is my personal bikes first service.
In the second picture are service inputs for a customer bike.

In the left column you can input chassis number for the recall data.

Great stuff!
May I send you my VIN and UK registration mark, and could you possibly please send me an image of the print out for my Nelly by pm? This would add to my provenance.
Thanking you muchly in anticipation.
