Someone please help me confirm this. I heard from sources that heard it from the factory that Benelli is closing down after hemmoraging tremendous amounts of cash since it began production. One bad thing of note too is that the only other thing happening at Benelli was that Andrea Merloni has bought a new Porsche.

Someone please, please tell me this is not true. I keep hearing all this and hope this is not just another dip in the roller coaster ride for us.

Chill-out guy's, production has just slowed a little while negotiations are underway with a new financial investor. I think we can look forward to an exciting future with the new partner.

I think before 'un registered' users make any statements like that, they could substantiate who they are to ascertain if the information has any validity.

Re: Benelli

Wendy's ip was traced back to AOL user in the US.
The likely suspects therefore have been eliminated :)

However my source in europe confirms this bit of news. :(

I hope BMW buys them.

It's an enthuisiast, no one from the bike industry so I am lead to believe. Hmmmm, a V-Rod would sure wake up with a TNT engine fitted :eek

That's great news for us in the US! Thanks! That makes me feel a bit better. :)

Johnny, how about a reprint of that TnT review for the forum?

Hey guys! Not good news but not band news. There is was no original deal that fell through (Wendy), nor is anything being signed on Monday. Hopefully, closer to the end of the month some "things" will be changing in Pesaro.

Oh, ok, now who are you and how do you know? I think before anyone offers further rumours, they should at least substantiate who they are or where they got the info from, surely it is only fair?

Roland, I'll post you a copy of AMCN, can you email me your postal address, thanks.

Just raced on the weekend (National BEARS), finished 3rd on my box-stock RS, haven't touched the shims, fork oil, nuthin! Beat a few hot Dukes, Man I am so thinking of putting a TNT engine in the bike, with a Tornado inlet cam, it would be mind blowing!!!! Just heard the 2006 Tornado is going to be a full 1000, I guess they'll just stroke a 900 engine halfway to the TNT's 1130, maybe?

See ya :)

Congrats John

Hi John

Congrats on your placing in the BEARS series.

Some good publicity for the brand.

You may have heard from Dekanai that we had a good turn out of Benelli entries in the annual Italian Motorshow in Canberra a couple of weekends ago.

The 1976 6 Cylinder Benelli 750 SEI beat all other Tornado's and the other small marquees by winning the prize in the "Best other Italian" category.

We missed having a TnT on display.

Keep up the good work. Still waiting to hear about when we can implement the mod's based on your findings.

cheers
Tax

MORE BAD NEWS FROM BENELLI

I have just returned home from Italy after spending one week there.
The real situation is very disturbing, the work force has been substantially reduced. And will be gone in four weeks, production of the TNT has completely stopped. The only production that is currently in progress is building the remaining Tornado's from existing stocks of spare parts that are currently on hand.

In todays M.C.N on page 8 there is the article printed about Benelli.

A week last Monday I was travelling by train from southern France, when I received a telephone call from a prominent French journalist who gave me the news.

Re: MORE BAD NEWS FROM BENELLI

For me it´s always very interesting to read Andrews ´informations´.
It seams he is informed directly from the BENELLI-management, but...

Anyway, it´s true, that the production is very low in this moment and there are major changements in the company. In my opinion everything will be solved till end of May.

About TNT I can say, that last week we got a couple of TNTs and the truck for the TNTs of next week is already booked. The TNT-production is still running and we are expecting some TNT TITANIUMs begining of May.
BENELLI has sold out all Tornados and therefore they will start a small production of this model in the next days.

About the future of BENELLI I only want to say, that I have already seen the new products for 2006 and I´m absolutely confident, that this will be also a great success.
That´s it in this moment.

Let's hope you are right!!!

Many thanks for your words of encouragement, Ronald. That certainly cheered me up a bit.

There's maybe hope after all, and you never know, It may be a change for the better!! (which let's face it, wouldn't be hard)

Roll on 2006!!!
