Hi

Just wondering what others have done to improve the front forks? I would like them a bit less spongy! I dont fancy spending a huge amount so interested to hear what success people have had with having them professionally done, new springs, oil etc?

Cheers

Matris cartridge kits are the way forward,I've been told.

i know it's not the same but I spent £50 having the suspension on the tornado professionally set up. He just twiddled the adjusters, set the sag ( whatever that is) I could feel the difference immediately. As long as the tyre pressures are bob on she's on rails 👍

Apart from that, how is the Trek?

Like I said Colin , either Matris or have the suspension built back up as my suggestion . They do dive more . The firmness would make it more remote from handling for me so sprung softer I like but horses for courses etc ......

I had an Andreani Fork Cartridge kit fitted at the end of last year. They were on Special Offer from Omnia racing and while not quite a "steal", they were very good value for money and the quality is superb. I can thoroughly recommend Omnia Racing and their service. Now, if only I could figure out how best to get them set up I'm sure that they would be even better. (Andreani were also recommended to me by Bennetts).

well i did it on all my tnt´s and on the Goddard i owned (and for some customers too :)) there are some choices you have
standart Marzzochi forks can be upgrated with progressive stprings, Matris, Adreani or the ne Mupocartridge (my first chioce i ride it in my race tnt)
the Ă–hlins fork from LE can be dissasambled and i changed the spring and the damping shimpakage now it works smoother with more progression

if you want i can send you an offer

Did the same on my Trek a few years back Highly recommended!

Now owned by a new member on here as I swapped to a Ducati (sorry guys)

Have to say if there was an upto date Trek I would have gone for that the Multistrada was the only thing I would have changed my Trek for
