That's great news Lloyd
The thing with insurance companies is that you should never ever accept their first or even second offer. They are in the business of trying to save a stack of cash whilst giving the impression that they are on the customers side. Never de-value (if there's such a word) your bike and your gear, if anything, up it a little bit and tell the odd porky here and there. Don't forget to tell them Lloyd that your lid was a top of the range race replica and that your leathers were also on the expensive side. Don't forget boots and gloves too. If they have any marks on them from the accident then you are entitled to a new set.
I got knocked off my gixxer a coule of years back and the insurance company tried to replace my bike with the same model but from a dealer that I knew nothing about. I knew zilch about the bikes history and argued my case with them for a good 3 weeks before they backed down and started repairing my bike at a local dealers. I got parts replaced that had nothing at all to do with the accident, but funnily enough a lot of those parts were damaged due to me having an 'off' at my local race track a couple of weeks back:lol
Insurance companies eh? You either luv em or loath em
