Well you could blow me down with a feather (when your my size it would still have to be attached to a running emu tho) :rolling:

According to several insurance quotes it will work out cheaper to insure and run the RS than it will to insure and run my wifes 17 YEAR OLD FORD ESCORT XR3i CABRIOLET.When she passed her test many moons ago the cabby would have been brand new and she told ner dad that is wot she wanted. So 5 years ago i found a nice 1 and got it for her birthday.
HOW NICE AM I...

Anyway you may have noticed the world has gone mental and the insurance on the cabby is now over £300 and Beni is £174  from SWINTONS so guess which is now up for sale. We also have a 5 year old AUDI A6 TDi and that is way cheaper then the escort. When we got the quotes Jo's exact words were "I'll be F*@ked if i'm paying that".. I normally have to P her off alot before she will swear like that..
So this leads me nicely to
WHO DOES YOUR INSURANCE

Carol Nash have always been cheapest for me but this year are £100 to much and they have been on the fone asking if i want the insurance 25 days before its due for renewal...Times must be hard at Carols house

I tend to alternate between Carole Nash, H&R and Bennetts... for some reason they seem to swap places in who is cheapest each year!

oh dear !

mmmmmmmmm, I'll let you know at the end of May when my Insurance is up and I have to negotiate a good deal as I'll have No NCD and a write off under my belt after my little escapade in the long grass last august ! (Poor Nelli, RIP :bawl: )

I'm just glad January's over and done with, Worst one I've ever had, now to look on the bright side, I've got my bike back and it sounds pretty sweet, I did take it for a 20 minute blast this morning (I couldn't find my nuts for an hour as it was ffffffffreeeezing !) but I was more than happy how it ran, just gotta wait to get some new rubber so I can have some real F U N ! One thing I've noticed different between this Tornado and my old one is that this one feels a lot looser and meaner  !

Just as I got back home it started Snowing, Oh Pooh !

Look on the bright side Rob and get the sled out :ele: , we haven't seen proper snow in barrow for 10 years now :bawl:

To answer Simon's question I normally flit between CN, Bennetts and H&R just like Colin due to them giving low quotes for new customers but not for loyal one's  ( last year's price on nelli £124 fire and theft)

i'm paying £700 & something pounds for my fully comp on my rs!!!!!! (with 8 years no claims) but that was the cheapset i could get it i had a full weekend at it, most didn't even list benelli tornados listed :bawl: :bawl: :bawl: my first quote that i actually got was £2500 (i think that it was bennetts) i was gob smacked & when the woman asked me if i wanted to take the policy out i had to stop myself from telling her where to shove the quote!!!!!!!!!!! :rolling:

I have just taken a policy out with HSBC insurance through Swintons and had a policy still running for the Tre with H & R but it was cheaper to keep running than cancel. My fully comp price is £278 for the RS and have just priced up an additional bike on the same policy and it nearly doubles it so i'd rather have two policies . our jeep (L200) have just doubled with Adrian Flux(£1200 but the wife likes them !) and the Punto is dirt cheap at £150 for two drivers . In Todays Market i feel that its in our interest and not theres and we should haggle ( read "pah is that the best you can do well i'm taking my business elsewhere !").

Give them a try and let me know how you get on ?

I'm with BikeTeam insurance (and have been for the past 3 years)
They always come up cheapest for me
Fully comp £184 (age ahem 37 and 6 yrs NCB)

Oh - I've never insured with Bennetts (or any of the big name bike specialist insurers)- they are always too expensive.
Oh - yes the fact Bennett have some right 'ROPEY' types advertising for them   ....er............errrrr..........would be enough to put anyone off !!!!

PS HR insurance are always close when I phone round for a check price mind

Is that premium based on stabilisers fitted + zimmer frame for mounting/dismounting????
Or do Bennetts think TreK are hiking boots - is that what you've insured !! :rolling: :rolling: :rolling:

The current Mrs Pony has never wanted me to sell the Nelli. She is dead against it. She understands the exclusivity of it but i understand the need to pay the morgage. When the insurance quotes came thro it swayed me back to keeping Beni for a while longer.
Bet i can get my quotes for the bike down more as renewal time approaches..
Going to try KurtP's company..

BIKETEAM £50 TO MUCH BUT WORTH AGO

I have renewed my insurance today and for the 1st time in 100 years (ok 7) its not with CAROL NASH
h&r Insurance saved the day with a policy from Highway for £145 with an excess of £400. Full comp with out break down cover tho.
Compare the meerkat.com (i cannot find you cheap car insurance . . have you seen the add, brilliant) will find me cheap breakdown & recovery for about £30 so ita a winner all round unless your name is CAROL NASH.
Speaking of which (or witch) CAROL NASH in their brilliance decided to REQUOTE me higher than my 2 weeks ago at £306. Up £40 on their origianal quote.

So shop around friends and WELL DONE to

CN charged me £54 to swap my Firestorm to the Benelli for just over 6 weeks. To renew they wanted £500 ish (for two bikes, old Triumph and the Benelli).
I will certainly try H&R at renewall time.
