So, I'm gradually pulling bits off to service the Amazonas, I've got the Airbox top off, after drilling out a few stripped bolts. There was a DNA filter inside which was anice surprise, but there is no inlet valve in the air box and I don't think the bike has the converyor on it either.

Is it a problem that these parts are missing? I mean the bike was working nicely other than the occasional idle cut-out.

You have got a cat in the exhaust as standard , with the flaps and exhaust butterfly on the cable . Take the spindle out and put two blanking caps in the spindle holes. You can take out the cat filter and flog it as scrap. It does make the standard exhaust very free flowing. It is also louder .They go well then. Map wise , switch to the TNT map, they go really well then. Very entertaining sports tourer.
