Greetings from Sunny California!

Like some of you I discovered this site right after putting down a deposite for a Tre ('05)... and I was pooping too in my pants during the first 15 minutes of browsing. Now I've eaten and slept BenelliForum for a couple of days (BTW, thank you sysOp for this excellent forum,) I felt like I had laughted and cried with you... I am ready! And I look forward to picking up my brand new silver and green next weekend. This is almost like when I had cold feet 2 weeks before getting hitched. And thank you Ken Zeller... you are like my premarital counselor. Yeah I will put up with the headaches for an exotic woman!

I will report back on how my Tre runs. I am getting a hydraulic clutch upgrade before the bike leaves the shop.

I had a blast at US MotoGP. Have a great time at Donnington guys!

Welcome to the insanity! :) We're glad you found the forum useful. The internet is an awesome thing isn't it? We're all from different parts of the the world but we're able to share information and experiences like never before.

Do remember to post pics and your 'honeymoon' experiences! <img border=0 src="http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/roll.gif" />

Re: Which tornado

Toby,
How much did you pay for it and who did you buy it from. I heard that a dealer in Austin, TX has a couple of Tornados in his showroom. Hmm..me shall scoot down there and have a look.

Re: Which tornado

buying it from GPStar in North Hollywood. It's Benelli's Callifornia edition, meaning an originial beauty with a bunch of CA restrictions and DOT requirements added to it. Here are some photos of it:
www.sitefoundation.com/ad.../idx01.htm

Elias at GPStar is helping me in getting it prepped at Ken Zeller's Evoluzione Cyclesports in Simi Valley. (www.evoluzione.net) It's priced at $13,999. Not too bad, I think...?!

Regarding the clutch, It will be fitted with Evoluzione's hydraulic clutch conversion kit + matching billet brake/clutch levers, for around $500.00. Since I'm trading in a couple of NSRs for it, the numbers are not exactly precise here. I'll produce a full report once I have the bike title.

Re: Which tornado

Hi Tobychi,

Great looking bike isn't it, welcome to the small but growing band of owners.

Looks like you have the WSB race bubble shield :D

I just changed my stock wind shield for this item.

Also I notice that the rear signal indicators have changed from the original item which was slightly more elongnated.

Enjoy.

Let us know how the clutch mod works. Might have to do the same.

regards from Australia

Re: Which tornado

Did you also notice those beautiful reflectors added to the bodywork!? I am pretty sure California pedestrians will soon be required by law to have reflectors affixed to their foreheads and buttocks before they could come out at night.
