Can anyone recommend someone to fit a new head gasket to my TNT. The original one has only lasted 2200 miles so I'd like someone good to see if they can find out why rather than just slapping a new one in. I'm thinking of Red Dog but is there anyone else I should consider? Thanks

Hi Chris,

I've nothing against Red Dog but have you considered the official UK Importers, KJM Superbikes at Wigan if they are within traveling distance from where you are?

I would recommend DMA Racing near Swindon....give Paul a call to discuss what you want doing to the bike.

Is the bike under warrenty? I believe Red Dog will work on Benellis,but not under warrenty so you would have to pay for any work. You could ask the uk importer (motogb ltd.) (on benelli web site ) for a list of official benelli dealers ?

Cheers for the replies. The bike is an 04 so its out of the 24 month manufacturers warranty. I bought it 10 months ago from 3 Cross. Frankly, I'd rather be happy with who does the work coz I'd like them to find an underlying cause for the gasket failing, rather than just slapping a new one in. I'm happy(?!) to pay for that. Still, at least I can do the starter motor whilst its out.
Incidentally, I fitted a Westco YTX12-BS sealed battery (180CCA) which just fits - It no longer stalls when the fans come on. Doesn't fix re-starting though

Chris,Have you done the updated repositioning of the rad fans.It is a free upgrade(Parts only).

Free? Excellent! I've read elsewhere about positioning the fans on the outside of the rads - I presume that's it? Who should I ask about the kit? KJM?

Yes i would contact KJM.I got mine through DMA in Wiltshire.
All the parts will come through KJM.

make sure you have the latest map installed it modifies the stepper,fuel and ignition and definitely improves hot starting i only have trouble now when the air temp is higher than 30deg (and those days have gone until next year) :\
