Hi all,
I’m looking to replace the bar ends on my RS, I scuffed one a few years ago and it’s boggled me ever since. I mentioned it in here shortly after I did it and someone said they are sweated on, as there’s no visible fixings. Has anyone done it? I’m nervous about drilling them out till someone tells me it’s the right way to do it!

I have an '05 RS, had aluminium bar ends, no plastic plugs. Perhaps on earlier models they used plastic.
B.t.w., It's not that I drive without clip ons, I have a set of ABM multiclip instead.

They are certainly just plastic plugs on the 900 and 1120 tre.
