Well, here is the latest model in the Benelli stable.
The best way of solving problems is getting to the roots:

- motor problems - get rid of the motor
- electrical madness - get it all out

:lol :lol :lol

nice, should come free with any bike, at least you can keep moving on two wheels for the sommer months while the motorbikes are in the service shops...
G
Those are some nice pics there Laurence;) I can't believe they still put that crappy chain on the 1130 and I noticed that the clocks on the bikes come in various colours (well, black and white) from what I could see. The rear seat cowl looks as though it could be doing with being a snugger fit but all in all I would say it looks nice ..... but looks can be deceptive8)
How was the Milan trip anyway Laurence? Even bigger than last year? I hope your feet held out:rollin

I don't know about those Trek's though .... they look cheap and almost like toys if you ask me.

Al:)

Hi Al,

The show was about the same size as last year but I learnt my lesson from last time and covered it in two days this year.
That's the absolute minimum if you want to do it justice...... and still be able to walk at the end of it!!!

Thankfully, there didn't seem to be as many companies from the far east this time but it was worth going for the MV, Aprillia, Moto Morini, Ducati, Bimota, & Moto Guzzi stands alone. God, those companies make some nice bikes.

Oh, and Capirossi turned up on the Suomy stand on the Friday and the place went bloody MAD!!!

As far as the T-rek's are concerned, they sure don't have the looks of the Tornado but if KJM get a demo bike on the road have a go, 'cause there a whole lotta fun to ride.
G
Thanks for the pics Laurence. That Tornado 1130 is sweet. LOVE those reasets!

That Trek looks nice..keep in mind that it's a race bike so it needs to be gaudy! :)

milan

Lawrence,I dont half wish i had gone again this year.
The main reason we didnt was because we were talking of going to Cologne but ended up doing neither!.
We did find the far eastern presence too overpowering last year.
Maybe we will bump into you over there next year.
Regards,
Zebo.

See if this pic will help to change your mind on the T-rek
Now that's more like it:smokin :smokin

But in saying that, WTF is that last pic all about:eek :eek :rollin

They must have had to hand out free tissues to onlookers to help them wipe the tears of laughter away when they looked at that thing:rollin

That F4 is nice but I'm not sure about the rear design of the bike or those colours. Red and silver or blue and silver would swing it for me and those front forks are to die for:hat :hat

Fantastic pictures Laurence, are the pictures of the new Tornado of the "finished artical"? The reason I ask is because I did not think it would come with a dry clutch, rear sets, wavey discs ect. If it is then it is very high on my list of "what to buy next".:p

I am also greatful for the pic's of the Bimota Tesi,:D this is also a bike that is up there along with the new MV and still in the running an LE. I am a bit concerned though that I might not get any parts that I might need in the future for the LE, being that they are very limited.

Maybe I could have them all if I got loads of compensation money!:lol :lol :lol (Only joking)

Oh and if I have not already said it Laurence, a big "thank you" for the card you sent me. It was a very thoughful gesture.

rearsets

The rear sets are most probably Robby Moto.
I was also at the Milan show and had a great day out!!!
Next year it will have to be a 2 day trip as we only saw about a 1/3 of the stands >D >D :eek

Re: rearsets

I think the top yoke is black anodised aluminium, not carbon fibre.

I hope the bike in Laurence's pictures is of the finished article as it does look the dogs goolies!!!:lol

Kurt, I have re emailed you as it seems that you did not get my last one.

Glad you liked the pics guys.<img border=0 src="http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/happy.gif" />

I'd hate to disappoint you but I think the Tornado was dressed up for the show Lloyd. I saw a line of 1130's when I was at the factory last Month and they all had pretty standard stuff on them. Mind you, I'd still have one in a minute though!!!
Oh, and you are very welcome for the card, I'm just hoping that it won't be too long before you can think about getting back on a bike again!!!

Kurt,

The top yoke is certainly not Carbon Fibre, It's problably anodised aluminium as Lloyd says.

Dave,

You certainly know your rear sets, thay are indeed Robby Moto.

top yoke

The top yoke is the same as an RS, i believe the 1130 has the same marzocchi forks.
I do like those rearsets ! and i think i need wavey discs now as well .:)

Re: Rear Sets

Questions, questions!

:hat

Hi again Laurence, sorry to ask so many questions but I would like to know:-

1. Are the wheels also different or standard on the show bike?
2. Is the dry clutch standard?
3. Is the green paint the same as the old Tre, because on one of your pictures it shows the same green as the standard Tre on the tail section but a lighter green on the fairing.
4. Are the carbon bits standard especially as there is carbon around the tank?

If not, I wonder what the cost of these options will be as I would like the wavey discs, rear sets, and carbon parts. (Although I have salvaged the carbon off of my Tre and hope they will fit the new one.)

Many thanks
Lloyd

PS Colin, Sharky I will give you a call soon.

Re: Questions, questions!

No problem with the questions Lloyd.....I can tell you must be feeling a bit better, as there seems to be some serious thinking going on.

I might be wrong here but I think the production bikes will be more like the pic that was on that card that I sent you. It's the same one that is in the show brochure:-

<img border=0 src="http://img109.imageshack.us/img109/9840/benellibrochure2006001dd3.jpg" />

and here is the secification page also:-

<img border=0 src="http://img109.imageshack.us/img109/7582/benellibrochure2006rl1.jpg" />

....so it's standard wheels and a wet clutch I'm afraid but the good news is the green paint looks exactly the same that is on my standard TRE (just more shinier!!!)

I'm not sure what carbon bits you are referring to round the tank (I couldn't see any in my pics) but your existing stuff that was salvaged off your old bike shoud fit just fine.

Re: Questions, questions!

Hi Laurance,

Great Pix

Any idea what a pair of them Robby Moto rear sets cost?

While you are there can you find out about them wavy dics as well.

Happy to advise that I have put on a 1000Km's on my new RS engine and she is tickety boo.

Re: Questions, questions!

Hi again Laurence, if you look at pictures 10 and 12 at the begining of your post you will see that under the silver tank it looks like carbon fibre. If not then it looks like it is painted and not the normal black plastic on the standard Tre.

By the way, I do feel better but have a few bad moments!:|
It can only get better thought:D (I hope!)

I'm am whittling my list of desirables down to the new 1130 or the MV Augusta Corse in red & white or the Bimota Tesi.
The Benelli looks great and I cannot wait to see it in the flesh, cost £10,000.00 plus a few extras! :D :b
The MV looks bloody beautiful, in red & white (search for MV Augusta Corse on the 3x website) cost £16100.00 no extras needed!:D :b :b
The Bimota is very different and runs a Ducati motor also looks great and costs £16,000.00 (base model).:D :p

I have excluded the LE I think due to possible parts back up problems.:| But then again! :D
