On my 2012 model CR, the ignition map is set at -3 degrees retard at TPS no.2 up to 400 rpm. The 160R map has rpm +3 degrees advance at 400 rpm at TPS position 4 and position 6 it has 4 degrees. So if you open the throttle whilst starting, or if the TPS is not zero-ed in, there is a chance the engine can kick back against the sprag clutch. My suggestion would be to remap the ignition map to similar to the earlier models.
could have been to do with the fading starter clutch that I started opening the throttle a bit. I have not heard it kicking back when starting. I took a screenshot of the i map because I dont really sure which is map 1 and 0 ( button in or out ).
Santi came early and brought some expensive gifts for my Nelli all the way from Maniac Motors.
I hope she will like it this time 😬.
For the few of you who don't know what I mean
..... This is 3rd time changing the starter clutch and the 2nd time with brand new parts.
I also have fresh oil and filter ordered and on the way.
