Hi,

I have problem where my 2008 Trek wont start, I hear noise from starter like he is sppining but no crank :-( Does anybody knows what could be problem? I read several threads here but.. im not having a "hot start" problem... I noticed few weeks ago that when starting my bike it was a loud noise and i've change my battery and it was ok for sometime, then it started all over again... Any help would be appriciated

Your symptoms suggest a fault with the starter sprag clutch.

I have problems with my Amazonas I bought it 3 days ago and haven't rode it yet . Got a terrible noise when turning over I've changed the battery but still the same

This could be one of two things ....
A . Starter sprag clutch faulty and would be needing changing .
B The Z25 has snapped its shaft .

Oh dear to both .. sounds like new parts time to me:bawl: parts as above probably .. dont panic it is curable and when it is you'll be glad you bought one

Yep, same issue here on my 07 TRE K1130! Sprag clutch apparently - I'm a noob to Benellis and gather this is not an uncommon issue- but any advice/ experience welcomed- especially on sourcing parts. Thanks

Not common, but not unheard of either, as with any other machine. I go through one every 50,000 on the C4. Which reminds me, I'd better order another starter as it's due again.....
I've had no issue with Nell's and she's been around the block a few times. (see below)

For parts, talk to Alex at Maniac Motors. He knows these things backwards.
