As i've mentioned in a couple of other threads i've been waiting to get a power commander and filter fitted and to have the fuelling set up to suit the new exhaust (Mivv x-cone), also to see what effect removing the airbox flaps and disabling the exhaust valve makes. The following is the chart of one of the first runs and then the final run. With just the exhaust fitted with modified db killers installed the bike made 119.2 rwhp and 73.61 lb-ft. Removing the airbox flaps only gave a 1 hp increase while the DNA filter was worth an extra 2hp. Disabling the exhaust valve gave only very marginal gains sub 4000 rpm (obviously because thats the point it opens at) but at least the solenoid can be disconnected now taking some load off the charging system :) . Removing either of the valves made no adverse effect to the mid range power. The rest of the gains are down to the fuelling being optimised, the bike was running lean through most of the rev range (so god knows what the fuel consumption is going to be now :) )
The final run gave figures of 126.7 rwhp and 77.96 lb-ft, most impressive is that its making over 70lb-ft all the way from 4000rpm to the redline.
There was another run done (not shown) with the exhaust baffles removed this gave an additional 5hp, but you can't believe how loud these Mivv cans are, so thats one for track days only.
