Don't have an owners manual for my RS,
and in fact I don't have it repaired and on the road quite yet,
(anyone want to buy a 2002 Triumph Daytona CE ?).

But -- when I rode it home, and since playing with it in the garage
I've noticed that my thumbs can quite easily get trapped between the bars and the tank,
there appear to be a couple of allen-head bolts screwed into the bottom yoke and obviously the corresponding lock-stops on the frame -- is it just a matter of backing these bolts out a bit ?

any advice much appreciated !

Hi TT,

Either the setup on the RS is different from the standard TRE or you must have very big thumbs!!! Mine are nowhere near getting squished against the tank unless I position them under the switch gear

I would advise against undoing the yoke bolts as the turning circle is bad enought as it is and I don't think that there would be anything to 'lock' them into place even if you did undo them a bit.

The RS User Manual can be downloaded from here.

TT, I agree with Laurence, I have an rs and there is poor lock, and it is tight but I dont trap my thumbs!
You could check the clip ons are in there correct place ? there is a small allen bolt that screws up into the top yoke, it may have been removed, then the bars could be turned in more ?
