Does anybody know if Amazonas wheels will bolt straight onto a TreK. I know the rear brake calliper is on top of the swingarm of the Amazonas and under the swingarm on the TreK and the front discs are different shape but the same diameter. The above idea may sound crazy but it seems a cheap way to have a great sports bike/ canyon racer with the appropriate tyres and then when I go with my friends on their GS BMW's adventure touring I just change the wheels/tyres to dual purpose ones instead of buying another bike.

Once you find out if the Amazonas hubs are compatible ( which I think they would be), it would probably be less expensive and quicker to buy a set of Amazonas hubs and have a local shop lace you up a set of Excel rims with heavy duty stainless spokes. You may need to stiffen up the suspension on your bike though for anything more than smooth dirt roads.
