Two types of Athena ECU and TuneECU
just for info, the tuneecu works perfectly in the Athena ECU, no problems at all.

There are two different Athena ECU types used for the Benelli TreK. My 2013 bike has the Athena A1BEN04 ECU. TuneECU works with this version.
There are a number of bikes in Australia, which owners tell me are 2014 models, that have a different Athena ECU. It is A4BEQJ. TuneECU does not talk to this version, although it communicates via the same cable as the earlier versions. It appears there are some differences that cause it to bring-up a warning "unsupported ECU type".
The Athena/Get "Maya" application is an answer for the A4BEQJ ECU version. The Athena website offers a licensed version of the Maya application for € 486.99 incl VAT or an advanced version for a lot more money. Alain Fontaine has not responded to my queries about an upgrade of TuneECU to suit the A4BEQJ. Perhaps there are not enough bikes involved to justify his attention or perhaps he has not been given the correct information.
