Just to keep you guys informed. Do NOT run your cooling system with distilled water (as they advice you to do when using the bike mainly on the race track, for security reasons), I did this for over a year and now the axle in my water pump has corroded and the thing started leaking  . Luckily I could find some parts to fix it, and from now on I ll put engine ice in the bike (is as slippery, but easier to clean up when spilled on the track compared to normal coolant).

I just pulled mine apart (to get to the gearbox) & found the dome nut that secures the impeller was badly corroded. Another year & it may have been exposing the shaft thread to coolant. Surprising, 'cos I've run glycol / water since the beginning. I thought that this would protect against corrosion - apparently not.
I'll be replacing the dome nut (M6) with a stainless steel one.
