Had my best mate Bones and my self take both bikes out on sunday What a blast. He rode the CR and i rode the Tornado. Then we swopped halfway through the ride. Had a chance to compare both bikes being ridden hard and fast and what a supprise. That little Tornado is in a league of its own when racing around the twisty bits and with the top speed , And the sound of the two of them together, well i cant begin to describe it. The CR has more pulling power but runs out of legs and then the Tornado blasts straight past it. Those extra revs are very handy. I can still see the grin on his face. and when we finally reached strathalbyn he was complaining his face ached. But that grin was still stuck there. I know we broke the law alot but we just couldn't help ourselfes. Pushing both bikes fairly hard. It was a 23 deg celsius day and with all the hard riding the fans never came on once (both bikes ) and temp stayed in the blue all day. When we finally swapped bikes we rode for about 30 kms and pulled over i asked Bones which one he preferred and he just said both of them?? i asked if he wanted to swap back to the CR he just smiled and pulled of. We had a great day and where ever we stopped got lots of attention and questions. Both bikes got the same amount. I know i have had a few teething problems with the bikes. But have just stuck with them and got them sorted,(With help and advice from you guys on the forum) best thing i have ever done was to buy the two of them. They are so different. The slipper cutch on the tornado is fantastic i heard it slipping a few times when it was needed. When i got on the CR which has no slipper had a bit of a problem with the front wheel lifting on a couple of occaisions but was controlled and good fun. What really supprised me was that both bikes were filled at the same time before the ride and both fuel warning lights came on within a couple of kilometers of each other,Which leads me to believe they are as thirsty as each other and consume the exact same amount of fuel, (i would have thought the CR would use more). Any way a fun filled day followed by an hour of Bones cleaning the Tornado and me The CR whist having a couple of beers made our day complete. We will be doing the same thing again soon. No problems with either bike hopefully both sorted . But am still waiting for the tnt gearbox and new clutch to arrive for the Tornado hope this cures the neautral problem (Which isnt a problem when blasting through the hills only when in the city stop/start) Cheers

Billy, you are like myself and many others on this forum, you have green blood!!! Once you own a Benelli no other bike (in my opinion) comes close. Yes there may be faster, more reliable and modern machines compared to the Nelli but as a complete package the Nelli is tops! Also where else can you buy a fantastic bike like the Tornado for ÂŁ5995.00 (Tre)!

And that sound!

Nice one Billy, I must admit the best fun on a Benelli (Well at least the Tornado's I've had) are when riden hard and fast (No puns please ! ) with so much Anti Bike Policing in this country it's difficult to do these days (honest govenor  ) unless you want to pay for track days every five minutes I suppose, but they ain't as much fun as Some of the Great roads we do have (complete with pot holes ! )

Nice to hear you can have just as much fun over in Oz

:D
