don't use it:

1/the bank has made a mistake and will get it back. if you use it, the insurance might deal with it, but this is not certain.

2/there are scams as such as well - helping money laundering scheme - You could be called few weeks later to get the money back, accepting transfer and real cash for a smaller amount of money (leaving you some cash for the trouble)

3/ accepting money you don't know the source from could also lead to troubles.

Only option: call your bank to double-check the issuer.

I'd spend it:D

If the bank didn't pay it in then it's not their mistake. I feel some carbon goodies coming on;)

Al:D

Nah seriously though, I'd hand it back.

Nah seriously though, I'd spend it:rolling:

Did you hear about the NZ couple who asked their bank for a 10,000 overdraft, and ended up with 10 mil? They absconded with it, left the country & are now on the run. Not that many places to hide though, and they've got to do it for a very long time.

Best not spend it mate, but gather the interest while you can :)

There ain't nothing sweeter than the taste of a freebie:rolling: I once found nearly £200 on a bus once. Not a soul on it but me. Put it in my pocket, rang the bell and jumped off at the next stop straight into a pub:D

Al;)
