Hi all,

I have a question for you and I don't mind what the answer is!

Where do you buy your motorcycle tyres from?

  • Local Motorbike Shop
  • Main Dealer
  • SportsBikeShop
  • Demon Tweeks
  • ProTyre
  • EU mail order co. like MyNetMoto, Oponeo, MyTyres, Tyres Outlet, Moto Tyres or TyresPneusOnline
  • eBay
  • Specialist motorcycle tyre dealers like Two Tyres, FWR, TyreTec, StickyStuff, WheelHouse
  • Other

Full disclosure, I run a motorcycle tyre shop (https://twotyres.co.uk) but I'm not here to sell tyres. I'm keen to get feedback from real-world bikers across the UK to better understand how you buy tyres.

If you buy them from a company like MyNetMoto, Oponeo, MyTyres, TyresPneusOnline (who are all based in Europe but often have a registered UK address and try to look like they're in the UK) what has been your experience with delivery times and additional delivery charges?

Here at Two Tyres we know these companies claim to stock everything and when you order, they often struggle to find the stock and get it to you.

I'm interested in where you get your tyres from and the experiences of any members here, so thanks for your time.

Local specialist Lydbrook Tyres obviously in Lydbrook , Forest of Dean 01594 861471 Steve Colledge
He is a biker , will fit on the bike , you drop the bike down to him , wheels out and refitted, ride away, or drop the wheels down to him and collect later.
Anything you want but specialises in Bridgestones, and I agree with him.

Bought my last two pairs from Demon Tweeks, 1. because of price for the pair, 2. because they were local to me at the time so had them fitted too, and 3. because overall it was a good experience, and I return to who treats me well.

Full disclosure, I run a motorcycle tyre shop (thanks to this platform it turns out that running one's own shop is a really easy thing) but I'm not here to sell tyres. I'm keen to get feedback from real-world bikers across the UK to better understand how you buy tyres.

Usually I visit our local online store and using several filters I find what I need. Then reading reviews about the tyres I chose I make up my mind which exactly model is what I need.
