Given the fact that Rossi is now leading the championship by 8 points .... can he clinch the title this year?
Haydon will be extremely hungry for a win next time they race and no doubt Pedrosa will be under team orders to do whatever it takes to ruin Rossi's race, as will Edwards with Haydon:eek:

Gentlemen ..... start your engines:lol

Who knows Pedrosa may take Rossi out to make amends, which could lead to hayden winning.

My thoughts exactly Mr Tre:rollin I'm going to put a bet on at the bookies about this race and if I win then I'll put it towards the deposit that's needed for lloyds 1130 (so long as he givs me a backie:lol )

Re: motogp

You all forget the little "Tornado" Edwards that is ready to decapitate Hayden should little Dani move one hair of Rossi's.

Has any of you observed the mean looks of the little guy at the race start line maybe on the fact that one old fat guy was holding his umbrella in contrast to the fine young lady caring for Hayden?

Re: motogp

I am as big a fan of Rossi as the next person but can't help noticing that age is catching up with the Doctor and that there are younger guys out there who don't mind loosing their legs in a race,

Tony Elias was a good case in point and the lap times are very close, so I guess the Doctor will take one more punt at the 800 cc class (just to say he has done it all) next year and then move onto other things where he can live to enjoy his hard earned millions.

Go Rossi Go! as we say Down Under

Re: motogp

To be honest in the last round I think Rossi let up on the gas, there was no point him going balls out and potentially binning it!

Good for Elias that he took the podium, but I think it was good conservative riding from the Doctor!

Having stalked his Flat in London (you know what number it was?......46) as I worked less than 1/2 a mile from it there's no contest in asking me who I want to win... I think he will go down in the annuls of Motorcycling history as the best ever bike rider, and what a fitting way to do it with being the Only Moto GP 990 champion!

Bring on the 800's

I thought Elias did at one point as well Andy. Did you see the part where he stuck his leg out to signal to Rossi to pass him:smokin Bit of a strange one that but it was a good race all the same:b

Re: motogp

Did you see Pedrosa's comment on www.motogp.com

"I will try to help Nicky, it is still possible that I can do something to help him win the title"

Ouch watch out Rossi, I wonder whether there are Machiavellian plans afoot8o

Re: motogp

I was working today so I never got to see the qualifying live, but I did record it so I'll be watching that later on:smokin :smokin

This race tomorrow is going to be a belter. I can't wait:D

Re: motogp

Just watched the qualifying (thanks to my friend .... Jack Daniels) and what a performance Troy Bayliss put in:eek :eek
Pedrossa doesn't seem to be on the pace (much to the annoyance of Nicky) but I still reckon that tomorrow is going to be something else:rollin

Yours (slightly pissed)

Re: motogp

Can,t wait for tommorow, told everyone in no uncertain terms not to disturb me from 10am onwards but as a concesion i won,t have a drink untill 12;) Rossi to win, bayliss 2nd, loris 3rd I hope.
G
The day of the reckoning is here!!!!

Just how good was Bayliss yesterday:eek :eek That performance of his has surely made a few team bosses wonder wether or not they're missing out on something here. His return to the WSBK series has done him a power of good. I wonder wether or not being back on a world stage has made him yearn a wee bit for the bigger (and faster) things in life.
Anyway, after getting seriously pissed last night, here I am all bushy tailed and wide eyed ready to rock 'n' roll;)

Pedrosa needs to have a bullet start if he's going to help Nicky out today, but only time will tell. Only 55 mins to go before the live racing begins and I'll get myself all warmed up watching those little 125's beat the crap out of each other on the track
:lol

Enjoy you day folks and don't forget to get back on here to congratulate me on being the only person to be right about Haydon in the poll that we had;)

I,m devestated, the only redeeming part of the race was Bayliss.:(

Re: Was I right or was I right?

Congrats to both Hayden and Al:rollin

A lot of voodoo involved here, or not. Rossi showed that he is human and Hayden won the title with only one race won at home in Laguna Seca. Still not sure how victorious he is, however the fact is he is the 2006 champion.

As for Troy, speechless....
