I'm up for trying the swap as Steven's evidence seems fairly compelling.
I think the problem could be if the flow rate/dwell times of the replacement injectors is not very similar to the OEM, then your fuel mix would be either lean or rich.
Also, if the injectors are not matched as a set, you would have 3 cylinders running at different lean/rich conditions. I think a small mismatch can be worked out with TB balancing...but ideally all injectors should be flow rated to ensure matching according to internet blurb.
I'm hoping that I can get the per-unit cost down enough, that putting all orders through a flow rating procedure is still economical. If anyone knows anyone in that side of the business, speak up that fellow :)

Will see what happens next !

I could be interested in a set if the price is right.

PS:
James and Steven, are you both dealing with powerflow or are you in touch with two different suppliers?
Two different suppliers. I'll be fairly sure that the supplier I'm sourcing will be cheaper than powerflow. Im not looking to make money off this, so the more orders we can get in, the cheaper per injector it will be.
My ideal would be to order 30 injectors, get them all flow rated and matched.
People may not want that expense however...

Once I have verified the ability of the supplier to provide, I'll announce prices etc. The powerflow option may work out cheaper for the AUS based folks, especially if they can dyno and tune etc.

Injectors arrived today-with a €25 customs import tax :(

Total price for 3x Denso 25326903 was $25 per unit, $20 3 day DHL postage, €22/$29.20 import tax.

Irish customs seem to be allowing zero leeway these days-lately anyone I know importing electronics from China seems to be getting stung.

The postage rate was a decent rate as I have used the same person before-it may be slightly higher for others....I would imagine $25 at most.

So total price in the hand for 3 injectors: €93.50/£76/£(AUD)120.
If you can avoid import tax, it's obviously that much less.
My reckoning is without import tax there is a $60/ÂŁ40 saving on the price of the FiveoMotorsports price plus a $25 postage guess.

The supplier is open to a reduced unit rate for a larger order, but as most of you guys are UK based, it makes more sense for someone else to run with it and not pay Irish customs :(

Notes on the injectors.
I can only measure the resistance values: 12.5 ohm.
All other dimensions seem to be as required as per previous posts.

The additional numbers on the injectors do not match from the original post here:
http://www.benelliforum.com/forum/showpost.php?p=73001&postcount=1

I am trying to research it, but I think the smaller numbers may reference a manufacture date/place and batch number.

One thing which gives me a slight concern is there appears to be slight scratching on the injector face. It is difficult to get an accurate picture of it, as the light catches it and makes it worse than it is-or wont catch it all on camera. I'm going to bring it to a mechanic friend and get his opinion as I have never actually seen an injector close up. This may or may not be an issue.

She refused to quote for the adapter connectors as the quality of what was on offer did not make her confident.

In the Uk I think this is the adapter:

Supplier details:
Lucy Luo
Jialong Industry HongKong
lucyjialong@gmail.com

www.jialonghk.com

(as an aside-she is very good at sourcing any and all electronics parts/plugs/switches etc and email/english communication is fine).

Chaps I have asked Lucy to get back to me with a price for 12 units, 24 units and 30 units. She is back in the office on the 6th of Jan and will reply then.

If anyone is interested in the group buy for these, please let me know and I will put it together.
The Customs issue, is not a customs issue, it is a DHL issue. Speaking to a few people, DHL have become very pro-active(read: thieving bastards) on assessing deliveries "on behalf of customs", and charging the recipient a nice admin fee for doing so.

In the matter of a group buy, the options are, delivery to me and distribution from here(non-DHL), delivery to a UK person and distribution from there, or individual couriered deliveries straight from Lucy.
People are more than welcome to contact Lucy directly if they would rather do it that way.

Again, please Pm or email myusername@gmail.

Happy new year to all.
James.

James, are you sure that these are the same injectors that Steven used or have you tried these injectors as yet and, if so, was there a noticeable difference over the standard units?

They are the same injectors as per steven's pics.
Im mid-strip of my bike to remove the existing injectors and get them all flow rated to check match.
Hopefully get that done early Jan.

I'm definitely interested... as soon as they're in a few people's bikes and working nicely. Call me a chicken; I rarely buy version 1.0 of anything...
There's nothing chicken about it.
I wont be running them in my bike until I get them flow rated, and a Dyno run with the originals, and a Dyno run with the replacements to check AFR's.
Other folks have automatic AFR boxes, and power commanders and what not...so they are less timid about it than I am and want to move forward.

All I'm trying to do is get the best price for folks on them-I'm not advocating slapping them in and going for it with no research into the changes caused.

My injectors were all black with an orange o ring, these injectors just seem to be a newer version but the same. If I did not take a chance and be come version 1.0 my bike would still be coughing and stalling and splattering and flooding like it did from day one. Not the smooth reliable machine it has become now!

Jamesobrady make sure you reset the tps after you install the injectors if you notice she runs very rich on start up. And could you check what the ohm reading on those injectors you got is? Please!

Let me restate that the reason why the original injectors are not the best for the bike is because of the spray pattern and atomization at low rpm not that they are faulty. The spray pattern does not work well given the angle of the injector and intake port and valve. It causes a dribble effect along the wall of the intake and a puddle around one of the intake valves causing misfiring and as a result that terrible stall issue as you approach a set of lights or roundabout. It also creates the hunting idle. I sent jamesobrady a short vid of my bike and he agrees that it idles extremely smoothly! Doesn't it James?

Cheers for the TPS tip. Resistance at the pins is 12.5 Ohms.

What you're saying about the dribble sounds familiar..I have read somewhere that some injectors don't deal so well with certain dwell times and dribbling occurs. Possibly on a MegaSquirt forum.

Yes, your video looked very good..very smooth idle.

James don't fear once you install them and get your bike up and running you will understand why I have been advocating the whole injector issue. Please get back to me with the results of your install.

James getting close to doing the injector swap?
Yeah, c'mon, James we're all gasping to know the results. What's keeping you man?
looking forward to the results to. if i could stop my bike stalling i would be a happy man:D

As per a previous post, I aint anywhere near being able to afford to do it the way I want to re: dyno runs etc.
The point of this was to find the cheapest supplier for folks if they wanted to push ahead with it, and fwiw I got an email today with a unit price of $10 per unit for an order of 30 units.
EDIT: Apologies folks, there was a miscommunication and this is not a correct RFQ. It was for some LCD screens Im looking for through the same vendor and she mis-copy and pasted it seems :( My Bad.
What I can afford to do, time permitting, is bring the injectors and the originals to Cork and have them Flow Rated to compare.

I have a feeling the Benelli will be going into long-term storage to facilitate a bit of travelling at the end of Feb..so time is against me on this one.

It'll be up to someone else with more money and time to progress this I'm afraid :(

Hope finding the supplier has been of some use guys.

Sign me up for 3x for export to Oz. I'm keen to see what difference they make.

Buddy I can get them locally for you through powerflow if James can't. Someone please give it a go! I just want everyone to have a benelli that runs perfect like mine. Some praise would be good if it works as well lol. If anyone wants to chat about it I live in Melbourne and you can contact me on 0418504556 please sms if I dont answer I will do everything I can to help and I'll pitch $100 bucks towards it as I am that confident of the difference it made to my bike.
