Haha yes very true Errol and as you know it took a lot of head scratching to work it out and foxed all the great and the good! Took an observant non LE owner to notice.
Anyway, I have a set of standard clocks in front of me, and the numbers are as follows. Not sure which is the part number but if none of the numbers match on yours John then I guess they should be LE clocks.

0180280000000 750
62101133A 0404021200061

Ok cheers that matches the first number which is on the top of the label on these. Let us know John! If you have 4 sets of LE clocks thats good news for all LE owners

Actually Daimo, that's quite a Crackingly clear photo, maybe a contender for the Benelli Forum Calender 2010 ! ;)

:D
I have plenty more, in high res as well. Thats a compressed small image.

Will have some more this year hopefully. I dunno if he'll take the LE back out, he might do? Parts are the worrying issue now if it breaks.

crap

already , god I'm blind

okay tech question, in owners opinions, is the build quality of a LE much better than a tre/RS, ignoring the whole dash reset, z25 questions?

do the LE's need any upspecced parts over the normal tre, or is it much the same?

how's the carbon, paint etc holding up since 2002/2003 on them?
what a excellant to good examples going for in europe USA and UK?

can we make this a sticky?
Done

The only thing that needs done on the LE is the Z25 gear/shaft upgrade.

I've never heard of any suffer with the same flaky paint problem as the standard TRE's.

Pre-owned top notch examples are going for around ÂŁ8k in the UK. Current list price for an unregistered bike is ÂŁ11,500 with 24 Months warranty

Paint is still an issue. Flakes on the lowers same as on the standard tre, if not worse, especially underneath where the exhaust is close, and around the screw holes if no / wrong washers used. Some panels are better than others. Paint quality is different on every panel and tank I have seen (and a few have passed through my hands ;) ) Z25, shaft and washer still an issue as Laurence says. Very few will have been done as its not listed as a required mod due to no LEs having a failure until Bobs - probably because very few are ridden.. duh  Lying t0sser of a salesman at KJM told me mine had been done. I even asked twice to check, and guess what, it hadnt so just had to shell out to get it done. Moral is assume its not unless you have written proof! Clocks an issue same as standard and LE clocks are a different part number so nigh on impossible to get hold of now. Standard clocks work but under-read due to the rear wheel having 5 bolts not 6.
Usual other non official mods apply - coil stick mod, airbox drain mod, etc.
Last 7 used LEs to sell in the UK that I know of since I started taking an interest 3 yrs or so ago have all gone between 7 and 9.5k, excluding the smoke damaged one!

Cheers

Col
