It sound like I have the same problem with mine, how did you diagnose? I live in Thailand and none of the dealerships have diagnostic equipment. Did you replace your self. Was it a constant problem or did it come and go? Please let me know, I've had this problem for two years and have tried everything and its driving my batshit.

 

Hi, I tried to replace some parts before i've reached the MAP sensor. I've replaced the spark plugs and the fuel pump because i thought that was the problem but it didnt solve it.
I've connected a scanner to the OBD2 port under the seat and than saw i had a p0107 code and that's when I've replaced the map sensor and the problem was solved.
I did all by myself.
The shuttering problem did come and go - mainly around 6 RPM.
I recommend buying from AliExpress an OBD2 scanner that connects to your phone and an adapter for benelli bikes so you can scan on your own.

 

THanks for the reply, is this sensor. I had already replaced the throttle position sensor, but this is differen't?

 

Hi, Yes that's the one - it's a different one from the TPS

 

Hey man, I got my replacement MAP sensor, and just got tank and air box off the bike but I cannot see the original sensor. I am assuming it's attached to the throttle body, but don't really want to remove the throttle body. Any photos or suggestions of how to find it?

 

There's no need to remove the throttle body. Only the bridge that marked in red, and it's below it:

 

Yeah finally got it, tricky little spot. Did you clean the fuel port in the throttle body as well? It seems like if they're clogged from fuel residue changing the sensor may not do much. I just flipped the ignition and so far my engine light is still on - Yay.

 

Hey man, looks like you were smart and took photos of the process. Im just trying to fit the take back on and I can't get the fuel filter to fit right, it seems almost to be made for another bike, which is crazy cause I've had the tank off ten times and never had a problem but every configuration seems wrong, I'm crimping the pipes etc. If you got a pic would love to see it, can't find on the net either - of course.

 

Just wanted to get back to you and let you know after changing the sensor and doing a 3 day 1200 k burn on the bike that was the fix and it actually runs the way it should, so thanks for the info and I owe you beer or something.
