Yes it is a bit large ! but its getting smaller this one should be about right.
I tried to take the large pic off, but it stayed there what ever i did ! If i join any more posts i will use a little one ,its annoying having to use the scrolly things to see it all Sorry.

That's a bit better Colin.
Just a thought but have you tried pasting the picture URL into the 'My Photo' field that appears in the 'Edit Profile' section?
If you then delete the URL that you used in the 'Account Preferences' page that should fix it.
