Odd question but I fancy scramblering my trek(I really like the look of the Ducati Desert X but don’t have the funds) so does anyone know of a tank of a scrambler style that will sort of fit the the benelli airbox? Or what options are there for reducing the airbox size?

I have a Trek in pieces that I will build a Enduro bike of.
My plan is to reroute the airbox and remove it completely, and then use a fuel cell where the airbox is and then build some fiberglas cover.
This will just be a project bike built with parts i have laying around from ktm's and Husky.

You probably wont find a scrambler style tank that fit the frame cause of the width unless you build some brackets to lift the tank.
But I don't think you will get the look you want by going that way.

I am with Rick on that one, just for fun, lie it down on your lawn. then try and pick it up on your own.
Best plaster yourself with mud, get the other half to give you a good pasting with the broom to add a few bruises.
When they go down , they break the footpeg mounts , break the gear selector, and where are you going to find the body bits. You can also hole the sump without a good guard on.

Best buy a scrambler and then join "the get down and dirty brigade".

I have built some bikes over the years and i'm quite sure that my Amazonas is among the most offroad worthy out there with EXC front suspension and a one of Hyperpro.
I have been down with her several times and she is by far the worst bike i have ever exoerienced picking up.
But then again, i built her as a fast gravel beast and not a mud crawler.
I built a Husaberg Rally this summer that feels like riding on air, but I hate to have unused parts in the garage so that's why my next project will be the Trek Enduro that will be completed during the cold winter months in Norway.
Yes, this will be a shitty mud crawler due to main frame and engine, but this one as wll becomes a one of curiosity, and that's what i like 😉
