I'll be giving KJM a call today Toby to see what the news is on the bike. I'm hoping that it's nothing major, but if a new engine is required then I'll be on everyones backs to make sure that this is done as quickly as possible (Benelli HQ will be sick of the sound of my voice if that's the case).
I think I would feel the same as you Toby. I don't think I would miss the bike at all but I would miss these forums. There's more to riding a bike just for it's looks;)

Al:)

PS. Good to see you still popping your head round the door mate:bow:

Bless you Al - do you want a huge man hug ??

I gotta admit- out of all the forums I have visited - this beats all the others hands down not just for the info posted on here, but also for shear laughs and the quality of the people - there is no bitchyness or fighting (Which is good seeing as your a Lover not a fighter !!)

Hey Lawrence - I spent about 5 minutes looking in the forum smileys for it - then realised it must be an attachement !!

Well I have a folder in my documents full of 'stolen' animation thingys

(please dont banish me Mr Admin :bawl: )

I was looking forward to picking up my benelli rs!

Hi Benelli lads, after reading this you lot have me worried i might have spent a load of bucks on a heap of junk?
I was really looking forward to picking my 06 ben-tre-Rs up next week from taz motorcycles in peterborough,so is this more a one off or should i have gone for my original choice of a zx10r? I changed my mind when i saw the benelli in the flesh and immediately fell in love with it's sexy arse and wanted to hump it!!
Also do you guys ever meet up on yer benelli's,as i havn't seen many around p'boro wich is sort of good as i,ll get alot of admirers!
By the way you cant go wrong with gixers as i,ve had about 8 and not one let me down.
Laters....newbie......(needs reasureing)

Hi Mark and a big welcome to the forum:bow:

Most of the lads on here seem to have had a few teething problems with the bike but luckily the RS models seem to escape just about all of these. My Tre has been a piece of shite since I bought it and I'm regretting it big style now. I won't buy one again that's for sure (The Tre that is). I wouldn't worry mate, you should be just fine;) Some of the lads here do meet up but it's only to go to gay bars and talk about how much hair dresser's scissors have shot up in price over the last few years:rolling:

Oh, when you're standing behind your Nelli trying to dry hump it .... just make sure the blades aren't still spinning matey:D

Al;)

Al, what's the latest on yours? Have you heard anything yet?
I've heard bugger all matey. I thought at least KJM would do is to give me a wee call on what's been happening. To be honest Laurie, I'm really beginning to detest owning this bike and anything that's assosiated with it. I'll give KJM until the end of this week to see if they'll at least call me:(

Al:mad:

As vtxbrit says Al - just hang in there, I am sure that KJM will sort it for you - I think you had the one they let the apprentice put together.

Although I had the gearbox replaced on mine in Dec last year I have not had any other problems - its 2005 reg with 4500 mls on the clock and the weekend just passed it has done me proud
I was with 200 other bikes filming in Bennetts insurance adverts for 3 days in Wales - it was started on and off somewhere around 300 times during the weekend (and thats no exageration) and it never missed a beat (unlike some hondas, kwaks, yams even bmw's that were falling by the wayside !!)
Most of the weekend the bike was stationary with the temperature gauge well high and fans on pretty much constant

I gotta admit - I thought it was gonna be the ultimate test for my Nelli and it breezed through (although the new gearbox means I cant get neutral hardly at all unless engine is off - not even when coasting :( )

I hope they sort it once and for all Al
Kurt

Phew!

That makes me feel better, cheers Al glad i got the rs then:clap:
Please dont tell me benelli riders are all found in gay bars as i,m a stella lad and have my reputation to live up to!
Sorry to hear about your sh*t but if it's any consolation I spent about 3 grand turning my tl1000s into a streetfighter and the engine with just 17k died on me! I was gutted as i loved it and still miss it not being in my shed when i open up the door.:bawl:
And it was a dependable SUZUKI!
Seems like a good forum on here, will have lots to say and upload late next week when i pick the rs up.Just hope it's all good news!!
Mark.......:lager:

Big bad engine noise

Hey Al,
Any news yet on the condition of your Tre engine? You'd reckon they would have diagnosed it by now????
I feel your pain Al.:(

Cheers, Dave
