Theres a simple way to work it out friend. Take Lee's showbiz age from his real age and stick 3 0's after it.(c above for Lee's ages). Then add sundries (usually aÂŁ1000) and vat at 150%...Thats the price. I've had a few paint jobs over the years and never worked how they come to the price yet

With the exception of DREAM MACHINE i have always found that you get wot you pay for in the "having ya bike painted" world.

Dream machine, mmmmmm... 4 goes to paint my NSR 400 Honda in Rothmans colours and each panel came back a different shade of white each time, Looked ok in the end but took 4 ever and they tried to charge me top dollar. NO sorries just spoke to me as if they were doing me a favour and i shud b greatful. Mind you that was a few years back now.

i got a quote from them & to be honest it was cheaper but not that much. I was at Box Hill last year & there was a guy on a Rizla Gsxr which had been to Dream Machine, he had to have it all re-done by Altamura as the decals had bubbled up under the top coat, it looked fantastic. That same day a guy on exactly the same bike pulled in & parked his bike next to the 1st one, his was a Dream Machine paint job, in the end he moved it as it did not compare to the other one. Decission made for me

 A good call then young man:bow:

The current Mrs Pony has a cousin that paints and he is BLOODY BRILLIANT so i'm sorted shud i make a little "oooppps" in the future. Wen i have a job again i'm going to get him to paint my helmet (Q all the jokes) to match my Nelli.

lets hope mate that you never need his services, the thought of a nelli being crashed & the sound of scraping plastic is more painful than being married to the 1st Mrs Windsor

Pardon

Pony if you paint your....ahem...helmet yellow(or worse yet green and silver....or even red) people are going to send you to the doctors wondering what has afflicted your helmet! At least in red you can just say you were poliShing a bit too much!

i think that paint scheme will look awsome lee good choice!!!!
i love race reps, i do miss my lovely my corona gixer (but i have my rs now so sod it lol) 5 of us had race reps & when we went out together it looked great all side by side in a car park

Thanks for that mate, i have seen a few Dream machine jobs that are ok, i think they run a franchise so you take your chances i guess. To me a race rep is the ultimate, lets be honest, we all ride sports bikes & day dream that we are our Moto Gp or WSB heros. I am really talented at the slow ride-wave to the crowd technique :rolling: :rolling: i am going for a set of decaled up leathers to complete the look.....whats that Golf saying....all the gear, no idea :D :D :D

My baby is still away getting sexed up, its been 4 weeks so far, i have got to take my new headlamp cover down to Altamura so they can incorporate it into the colour scheme (its on its way from Oz as i type) I reckon it will be another 3 weeks till i get her back.

Progress Report 1

Alright chaps, i finaly recieved my headlamp cover all the way from OZ, i took it down to Altamura to drop it off, i couldn`t resist a little look to see how thing are coming along(i know i shouldn`t!!!) my baby is all stripped down & in the process of being transformed, i had a look at the finished front mudguard & was amazed at the quality of the finish, especially as it was carbon fibre which is always a pain the paint. It is in MV Red & Silver which is a fantastic colour. I estimate that it should be away for another month or so.
I have popped a few pics on my album, i have some more but i dont want to spoil the suprise so i have only put a taster on.
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D
